A quote from the inspection report reads:
“There is a great celebratory culture in the school, and a strong ethos of sharing expertise and resources with other schools and teachers. It is astonishing that all the wonderful developments at Briscoe Primary have been achieved in just three years. The school’s ethos of providing life experience for its pupils as a priority alongside delivering the curriculum is inspiring. Whilst at the school it was clear to me that the majority of pupils are thriving and gaining knowledge and experience that will broaden their horizons and increase their chances of getting the most out of their education and of life as they move on from Briscoe Primary School.” June 2015
Briscoe is the first school in Essex to receive the Gold Award.
“All staff interviewed are able to explain their personal positive contribution to the school and the difference it makes to the children (in the first instance) and to the school as a whole. All staff feel they are valued. Morale is high and they are happy at work. They also feel that they are recognised for their contributions.”
